Heh.
Having seen the movie, I can confirm there are a lot of jokes.
But there's build and payoff...with not a lot of wasted space, and the climax is dead serious.

The two aren't mutually exclusive. Like I said, it's quite likely they want him to do both.
Plastic....Man? Now that'd be interesting if he already wasn't being used....
From a business viewpoint, you give him an A-lister, a B/C lister and a new/original character where he has ownership points.
Heh. And in my book, I think superhero movies (in particular, those in the DC Universe) could use MORE of an irreverent tone, to connect them more with mundane audience members.
Wouldn't mind that at all...
I would think there'd be a mix of titles he'd do...one A-level hero, a C-list hero and one new character he created (and maybe one other).
Wonder Woman could be a landing spot.....
This is a different argument, I think. But it has its own answer; if these attempts are less successful, they'll be dropped and forgotten.
Hah. Don't play that. You don't know if it's different until afterwards.
And...people are people. Not that different from then until now.

There's no significant increase in monthly comic book sales. I'm pretty sure there's some increase in trade sales at bookstores. Not sure we know about digital.
Media synergy has ALWAYS been...
Well, in many parts of the country.
Other parts...still active.
Well, one thing’s for sure. Comic fans have absolutely no clue about drama. All this nattering about action vs. comedy just proves that in spades.
Story/character/arc. That’s it. Every good story...
I think there's some truth to this.
I also think there's some screwed portrayals because people think of him as in a romantic relationship with Diana, not in a thematic relationship with Wonder...
Annual collections.
Girl Genius, by Phil Foglio. (Doesn't a handful of Hugos count?)
That's not a bad idea to recast, if the movie is popular.
And I agree...the younger the better. Comic fans seem to like the teenage Billy, but I think the stronger the contrast the better between...
I just love how the doubters/naysayers are going by looks, and not acting, which I contend is FAR more important. Dude's a lanky guy; he can and will put more muscle on---it's been done before. I...
Nah, don't think so.
I'll buy someone with a non-bulky physique, like a quarterback or an NBA guard. That works.
Dang. Never would have guessed he's that tall. Just a LITTLE toning and bulking would do wonder, I think. Not really sure you need bulging super big biceps for this. Gotta be fit, but not steroid...
Surprise, surprise.
Black, gallows humor would be welcome. I'd also bet Natasha has a mean poker face and a sense of humor to match.
Doubt Feige will go along...but it's the sort of risky approach that creative people take all the time. Talented people can make it work and make us realize that we wanted it all along.
Now I like that. Keeps him active, but doesn't deprive the hero world of an Atom....and he's still quite available.

At worst, he's been put on the bus.
And, as of late, mass transit in the DC Universe has been getting better and more regular.
Snicker. Whatever you say, whippersnapper.
"But he's going about it the wrong way!"
Which differentiates him from Strange and other heroes....how? ;)
