After FINAL CRISIS, DC committed to retiring the CRISIS title. A decade later, it's sticking to that commitment, in spite of dire temptation to do otherwise. Works for me.

I think they're too different as writers to even really compare.

I'd say they're only similar in how they mine widespread continuity and are viewed as architects of whatever franchise they take over.

Glad it wasn't. If Crisis events aren't dead, at the very least they can keep the title at bay and reserved for universe-centric events, not character-centric ones.

Also apologies to Snyder, I jumped the gun and thought it was him that wanted this to be a legit Crisis event. Directed my disapproval at the entirely wrong person initially. My reading comprehension sucks this week, I'm jumping the gun all over the place.

Just because it's called FINAL Crisis doesn't mean that the name Crisis is fully retired as it was also stated in the various interviews.
