-Vote by Posting the name in BOLD of the Poster whose cover best fits the theme or that you simply like the most! A vote need not be in bold, but it does make it easier to Count-The-Votes!

-It's Okay to Discuss the Covers but if you Think Someone's Entry Doesn't Fit the Theme or Violates the Rules, you Don't need to Argue it in the thread, Simply Don't Vote for It!
-Plus: Occasionally Voting will Result in a Tie! The Person Who Started the Thread will do the Counting that Week will Usually call for a TIE-Breaking --Vote from Someone who has Not Yet Voted!
-AFTER the Tie-Breaker Vote, Voting Ends and the Winner is Declared by The One Who Started the Thread (or assigned surrogate) and Thus will do the Counting.

I believe this is the first one I ever bought (I picked up this back issue because I was too lazy to read the novel for my HS English class ):

It used to be the oldest comic I ever owned until I started picking up Golden Age issues in more recent years.

Wow, what a great topic--I love painted covers, no matter what the comic or periodical they're always so arresting IMO--the covers posted so far are proof of that!

Well, since I just saw an exhibit of Spider-Man original art that included (of course) a lot of Romita Sr.'s work, I'll go with this classic:

Not only my favorite Preacher cover, but my favorite Glenn Fabry cover as well. While it's nothing too fancy, (It's essentially just an image of a person with a gun), it's an incredibly bold and alarming image.

Easily one of my favourite pieces of comics art. Such a powerful image.

There are sooo many I love. I am going to agonize over this one.

Frazetta, Boris ,Norem, Larkin, Ross, Santos.....AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

Fantastic choice Shalla. I assume you mean the one at the Soc of Illustrators. What an amazing exhibit. The 4 pages from ASM #33 were astounding.

I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:

Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.
