Default Why do people like Wolfsbane more than Feral?

I'm a fan of both characters but I seem to like Feral more. I'm not sure of myself though if it's only because Feral is less loved , less used and less popular because well, I don't even know much about Feral.

But can anybody tell me why people like Wolfsbane more than Feral? Is it because of Wolfsbane is more popular? and in general, is X-factor the more popular team than X-Force?

I also would like to know the following.

    1. Who has better powers/skills/abilities? 3. Who is bigger? Who is faster? Who is stronger?

    2. Who is the better fighter?

    3. Are they somehow related to each other?

This, basically. Rahne is also more atypical for a feral character than Maria.

And, no, X-Factor was not more popular than X-Force. New Mutants is, though.

    1) Rahne's powers are more versatile, since she can shift from human to half-wolf to full wolf. I expect she's stronger, but Feral's faster.

    2) Rahne has more training, but Feral's vicious. I couldn't call it.

    3) No they aren't related. Feral is Thornn's sister, though.

As for why she's less popular, there's the little matter of Feral murdering several members of her family, including her toddler brother.

ETA: She nearly murdered Cannonball, too.

Rahne can morph into a pack of wolves now (a very recent development) so that puts her over the top for me.

Generally better design. Feral is derivative. Rhane was created by Claremont while Feral was created by Liefeld.

Perhaps, Rahne genetically bonded with Jamie during a round of sex...

It's really not - X-Factor kept her relevant, but X-Force was as popular or more popular than X-Factor during the 1990's.

What it is, is that Wolfsbane was created by Claremont, which by virtue itself means that she has had more staying power. Plus, New Mutants was around at the absolute height of the X-Books for a lot of readers - which ALSO directly has to do with Chris Claremont.

Feral was just Rahne without the Doug baggage.
Rahne (after x-tinction agenda, when Liefeld was starting to get X-Force together) was stuck in half wolf form, & more rageyy. So basically she was already Feral anyway.

As Arachne said Feral murdered many of her family members. That makes it an easy choice. Feral is a villain. Wolfsbane is going to be more popular than her copycat villain. Wolfsbane also picked up a lot of fans during her time in 90's X-Factor when the X-books sold a lot of issues.

I do like Catseye and Thornn better than Wolfsbane though.

Feral is due for a revival. She's basically Sakhmet (with a little bit of Rihanna) in Kieron Gillen's Wicked + Divine.

A little too demented to be a hero unless X-Force put a leash on her.

In the late 80's and early 90's there was this fad of creating these raging "feral" mutants (A.K.A Wolverine clones) and Feral just seemed like by-product of that. Sadly Rahne was also caught in the crossfire when they made her stuck in this slightly-hairier-than-average mutant form.
