Default Likelihood of Reed and Sue Richards returning in Legacy

How likely is it that Reed and Sue, or maybe only one of them, returns during Marvel Legacy?

Ignoring whether want them back or not, this is solely what you believe Marvel will do.

I was going to say 50/50 but I went with the more optimistic "very likely."

While it's possible that Marvel keeps them in limbo, it just seems inevitable that they'll come back at some point and what better time than now?

Doubtful. No reason to as of yet. Besides Marvel-Two in one( or whatever its called) is coming out staring Ben and Johnny. If that does well there would be less of a reason for their return.

Didn't Reed make a small appearance in Infamous Iron Man though? Maybe they will be reduced to small apperances like that....

I think it will happen eventually just not right away.

The idea of Marvel announcing the FF's return on Jack Kirby's 100th birthday is something they could very well do. The two fit together perfectly and would attain the press Marvel is fond of. Other books are acknowledging the FF more and more, so it might just be the time.

I was thinking of that myself.

Although if it's something that's going to happen in the Legacy one-shot, I don't know if they'd want to spill the beans on it quite yet.

I don't think it will happen at all in the near future. Not until they get the movie rights back.

Meh, sometimes it's best for comics characters to be in limbo for a while than under the pen of a writer who has no idea about what to do with them.

There is worst things than death. (like being written by Lobdell for example, ask the Teen Titans...)

That's Ultimate Reed, aka The Maker, who also appeared in Ultimates2 and New Avengers. And it's far from a minor appearance, he was a major antagonist in all three books.

Two In One's first arc is called Fate of the Four, so it looks like it will at least explain where 616 Reed and Sue are. Far from doing well preventing their return, I think it may well actually be a maxiseries leading up to it.

We will see. Wouldnt get your hopes up though by the current climate of things.

Be great to have the FF back in full force but I don't think the fandom "need" has reach peak enough for Marvel to bring them back yet.

Can someone tell me how long Thor was gone during his break? It may give me a hint to how long Marvel is willing shelve them.

Thor #1, featuring his resurrection, was published on July 5, 2007. He'd been killed off in Thor #85 in 2004.

at best we may get a page with Reed and Sue. but honestly i don't think we'll see them anytime soon. certainly not with the current Marvel head honchos in charge.
