None of the reason you list (including older) mean he (or other characters like him) can't or shouldn't be celebrated a hero!
Maybe look through the thread, there are actually several great examples.

I am dismissive of nothing and of no one.

I mentioned "old" because the poster listed "fat" and "bald"; people today are all so against those who are old, fat and bald. TV is full of making fun of men who, at a certain age, begin to lose their hair "bald", gain weight "fat" and who are no longer young "old". I do Not condone this in the least bit.

None of those traits stops anyone in comics from being Superheroes and in real life from being Heroes!

Deathstroke and Damian Wayne (Kid version) Would look very good with the bald look.

Damian Wayne the Batman 666 version is bald. I can see young Damian also going bald since he is the most Spartan and dedicated of the Young heroes. His current hairstyle look too styled. I can't see a warrior who lives and breathes battle applying product. That's just not something he would waste time doing.

Why are all heroes in great shape? I get someone like Flash or Batman but Green Lantern & Superman don’t need to be jacked. Why not have characters have a bit of a gut?
