Some nice art chronicling all the Multiversal history of the DCU.

I love it when writers make an honest effort to explain the (completely insane) cosmic history of the DCU.

In this particular case, I really dig how they've woven in Moore's Swamp Thing #50 into the mix, as well as the oft-forgotten (unless you're John Stewart) Cosmic Odyssey.

It may turn out to be a silly story in the final analysis (aren't they all?), but I'll be darned if they're not playing with all the toys.

Scott Snyder tried to chronicle DC’s cosmic history in Metal and his Justice League run. Looks like Williamson is just going to ignore most of Snyder’s stuff.

No one tell Alan Moore that DC is using another one of his concepts

Have to say this is better than Snyder’s efforts. It’s clearer and much more parsimonious. I quite like it.

Well, the preview reach until Final Crisis, Metal could be in the next page.

I’m honestly impressed at how quickly Perpetua has been ditched as a concept. Now all we need do is retcon any mention of Manhattan and it’s golden

Perpetua always sounded like a drug commercial for Alzheimer's. Who comes up with these names. DC keeps creating new creators for each Crisis.

And in a comic heavily influenced by the work of that talentless hack Morrison!

Is anyone else enjoying this a lot more than Infinite Frontier? IF felt sort of clunky to me, the mediocre sort of heavy continuity-dependent comic...Incarnate just feels right, like the various alternate Earths and characters are being used well and respectfully (with the exception of poor Earth-11 Kathy Kane.)

Yeah, I think you are getting a bit too excited here. I'll be very surprised if next couple of pages won't have something Metal related.

    I wasn't a fan of issues #1 - 3, but this introduction gives me hope for #4

Next year some other new big bad will be responsible for all the Crisis' and whatever is responsible for this will be forgotten too. Stuff like this is why I don't follow mainstream continuity anymore.
