It airs tonight at 9PM on the East coast on Fox; eight hours away for some of us and longer for others. This episode is crunch time for the show on the question of how much it can hold rebuild the momentum in terms of live viewership or face the fate of many shows where too many either don't watch or DVR it live and watch it later. Seeing three of the male stars of the show at the World Series on Fox last night was pretty fun.
To that end they are clearly trying to build up a twitter storm for tonight's episode having videos of the actors ask fans to tweet. But, we have a place here for more in-depth talk about the episode then can be done in 140 characters even though I plan to send out some tweets before the show.
I have the early feeling its going to help to have the Mutant Underground back together with the Struckers and the SS on the other side so bunched up stories like last week rather then a lot of separate solo stories. The high intensity storytelling is a major strength of the show and its the most politically and socially relevant show on TV with great character work. I am hopeful what I suspect will continue to be more bunched up story plot threads akin to episode 4 between the core characters will lead to a bit less overload for new viewers.
Tonight from the preview it seems we may get to know more about the July 15th Incident which seems to be a major break point in human/mutant relations in this universe.
