‘Riverdale’ actress receiving death threats: Actress Vanessa Morgan is joining The CW series as a character named Toni Topaz, who may or may not come between Jughead (played by Cole Sprouse) and Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart). Dubbed “Bughead,” the couple has become a fan favorite, and the obsession only increased once fans found out the actors were dating in real life. As a result, Morgan has faced some scary backlash.

Don't all famous people pretty much get death threats every day? Anyone can make a death threat any time, and with the way people are today it's hard to believe anyone even pays attention to them, unless someone wants to write a news story.

I very much doubt all famous people get death threats, to be honest, let alone every day, and it's got to be a pretty horrible experience for someone in their 20s that simply has the temerity to appear in a television show.

Especially since no one has even seen the episodes yet. But yeah this kind of hate is kinda rediculous. Hell Jensen and Jared of Supernatural's real wives got all kinds of vitriol from female fans of the show.

It's a weird thing that people seem to hate anything that interferes with a favorite ship. I'm not entirely immune, but I prefer to just vote with my dollar/time instead of raging on some actor or actress who just wants a job doing what they love. I grew up with classic Archie. For me the idea of a love triangle between Jughead and anyone other than a burger and a pizza is laughable.
