    Default Wonder Woman Costume Thread

I noticed a lot of threads dedicated to different costumes or different aspects of her costume but not a general thread where we can find people discussing anything they want about the costume so I figured it'd be smart to start one.

Tell us what you think about her costumes. What's your favorite version of her costume? Which ones do you hate? Share fanart of her costume. Anything related to her costume can be talked about here.

My perfect costume for Diana would consist of:

    - The Odyssey Tiara & Belt

    - The Year One Bodice & Skirt

    - Who Is Wonder Woman? Boots

    - 70s TV Show Cape

    - New 52 Bracelets(sans anything coming out of them)
Currently(or soon to be) Reading: Absolute Power, Batman/Superman: World's Finest, Birds of Prey, Green Arrow, Green Lantern, Justice Society of America, Shazam, Titans, & Wonder Woman.

Heh. I never minded pants or even biker shorts. (I know...heresy....)

But I really like shoulder guards, and some means to hold the top up (I always assume Diana has breasts, so something to keep them out of the way during action is always appreciated....).

I don't think they've done a "favourite" version of her costume - at least to date. The red / blue battle armour and the Chiang armour each come close, but they're both a little too bulk and not "updated" enough for a superhero costume (although they work well as "origin" costumes). I didn't mind Donna Troy's "Wonder Woman" armour, although I wasn't a huge fan of her colour palette.

My idea costume would probably be based on the DCEU movie costume, but with quite a few changes:

    - full coverage for the torso and shoulders, like DCEU Queen Hippolyta's armour
    - lose the leather wrapping around the hands
    - lose the Sam Browne belt which disrupts the imagery on her breastplate and simply attach the lasso to her skirt
    - lose the high, wedge heels on the boots
    - fully enclose the boots
    - lengthen the skirt
    - lose the sword and shield

I'd also be open to seeing a version with pants under the skirt, but I'm not sure it is necessary provided the skirt is an appropriate length and artists refrain from "up-skirt" poses.

I'm also, perhaps controversially, open to seeing a completely different colour palette for Wonder Woman's costume - ideally something along the lines of white / cream, gold / bronze and maybe brown / black. I like the iconic red, blue and gold, but it is very similar to Superman. It would be nice for Wonder Woman to have her own colour scheme, inspired by her white jumpsuit phase. Bekka in Gods and Monsters might provide a decent source of inspiration, ignoring her gravity-defying bodice.

My ideal version of Wonder Woman dresses like this:
    • When she's in normal civilian dress, as Diana Prince, her hair is straight (sometimes pulled back in a pony-tail). She wears aviator glasses and stylish clothes suited to the context, most often white.
    • When she goes into action as Wonder Woman, Diana uses the magic lasso to change her look--her hair becomes curly and she looks different from Diana Prince. She has a selection of outfits--but they all are red, blue, white and golden.
    • When she attends formal functions, Princess Diana wears a regal Amazon outfit that incorporates the traditional motifs (stars, golden eagle), along with an optional cape.

I wonder if there are a standard costume feature and color.

Yes, red strapless bodice on top, blue bottoms, gold belt and chest emblem. It's interesting how the same colors look so different from Superman's, because of the change in the silhouette and the addition of the white trim (that she doesn't use anymore ).
