Still think Photobucket made a mistake in blocking 3rd party access. I'd be interested in finding out what impact it's had on its traffic...

I've been using the same photo hosting site for the last several months and this is the first image someone has had a problem with. I even used the image from the link you provided.

Your post still has the ibb link. I think I was having trouble with some earlier cover contests, but not as bad as this time. What can I say, if you use the ibb link, I won't be able to see the cover so I cant vote on it. I pretty much always get my cover links from doing a Google Image search and choosing a link that looks safe and stable. Image hosting sites are not what they used to be.

Sounds more like your Internet security is overprotective.

I don't want to hijack the thread completely, but what malware blocker are you using?

Sorry for hijacking the thread, didn't mean to cause trouble. I'm using Malwarebytes.

Maybe it is. I guess I could bypass the block on my end, or something.

    My entry for the week.

I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:

Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.

Seeing as it's literally the only reason anyone uses it, I can't imagine it's been a good move.

Did a quick Google search & results indicate a nosedive down the rankings for Photobucket.

Oh well. At least the CBR Cover Contest will endure!

As William Wallace famously said, "Photobucket can take our free 3rd party linking to their website but they cannae take our freedom... Or our ability to link directly to other blogs or hosting sites!"

But resuming normal service: some knockout entries so far in the contest! I've narrowed down my favourites so far to 5! & Would struggle to pick between them!
