The Quote that Harley says right after the Cameo Character leaves during the swamp battle pretty much summed up my feelings on this movie.

What the hell happened to Bruce Timm? First the horrible additions to the Killing Joke and now this. I seriously could not believe what I was watching during the Harley and Nightwing (implied) sex scene. It was like cheap fan fic. Almost written like a porn parody of Batman. I'm not trying to be a prude but I just wasn't expecting that.
Yo, that thing was hot garbage lol. I didn't even know what the target demographic was because it was very adult and "sexy" at times and then childish with jokes about bodily fluids. Just...what the **** happened?
Superhero shows are trash
Would it have killed them to have included one line of dialogue explaining where Tim Drake had got to?
Assuming this follows on from TAS universe last entry "Mystery of the Batwoman"
I was initially turned off by everything I heard, but I decided to give it a shot. It turned out that I liked it a whole lot more than I thought I would to the point where I even bought it. It was fun and a nice mixture of TAS and the '66 show. There's just way too many animated film offerings that just take themselves way too seriously and this provided a great contrast to that.
Keep in mind that you have about as much chance of changing my mind as I do of changing yours.
Wow, surprised by the hate for this. I know Harley isnt overly popular around the forum but damn.
I didn't want to get this. I had no interest. But my wife loves Harley and it was a nice little surprise gift.
I had low expectations (I think we both did) but we loved this movie. It's a subversive Elseworlds that is brilliantly twisted. You never know what you'll get; the faintly creepy scene of twins singing a duet layered in questionable context, or fart jokes.
I enjoyed the musical score and the slightly retro.....I dunno, ratpack I guess....vibe.
Its not without flaw, and the bedroom scene with Nightwing felt really out of tune with the rest of the film, but I suppose it did establish that the Joker is in Harley's rear view mirror. And the two former sidekicks getting it on does have a weirdly intriguing parallel.
Anyway, I loved it and have watched it a couple times. You haters just keep right on hating.

I thought it was more weird than it was bad. Principally because it didn't really know what tone to use for its audience. It goes from adult-themed to outright juvenile (even for Harley), then to an entire musical number that feels more like a music video than a movie scene, and then finds its footing more or less in the final act, but Harley doesn't really fit into that scale of a threat.
To be more SPOILERIFIC about it, I thought the sex scene with Nightwing was a little forced, but it came right after she was explaining her struggles finding a job with her degree, and I thought "wow, some adult-themed character development". Then they have sex and I thought, why not, let's just take TAS and make it a little racey. Then they get into the batmobile and...it's fart jokes. That basically killed it for me. It gets better but never recovers from that IMO.
“Harlequinade”probably did it better all around in less time.
I enjoyed it for what it was doubt I'll be re watching it though.
I didn't care for some of the things that happened in it, most notably Harley and Dick having sex. I'm not a prude, but that's completely OOC and irresponsible for Nightwing to do.
“Now faith, hope, and love remain, and the greatest of these is love.”--1 Corinthians 13:13
“You had a dream; I have a plan”--Cyclops
“There's no point in being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes.”--The Doctor
It was certainly the weirdest/worst part of the film.
Is it really *that* out of character for Dick though? He's slept with some pretty crazy women.....not all of them the most.....pure.....of people. Huntress, Tarantula, etc.
Not saying its not out of character at all.....but I can see it as a stretch.
Besides, not like he had much of a choice. Harley was going to take that one way or another, I suspect.
