Another drug-free ad of the early 90's. This one featured Penny:

"I am a man of peace."

"A man of peace...who fights like ten tigers."

Me too. But, I'd settle for a DVD/Blu-Ray complete series collection (XD)

These were classics of my childhood--

I confess to getting Snagglepuss and the Pink Panther mixed up. But Snagglepuss was better because he actually talked. He had catch phrases like "Exit Stage Left" and "Heavens to Murgatroyd"--voiced by Daws Butler who also voiced Yogi Bear, Huckleberry Hound, Quick Draw McGraw, Baba Looey, Droopy, Super Snooper, Blabber Mouse, Barney Rubble, Quisp, Elroy Jetson and Cap'n Crunch.

What was cool about the Mask of the Phantasm comic was that it was included in copies of the Mask of the Phantasm VHS. It was pretty sneaky too. The book wasn't located inside the case, but rather between the cover and the case. You had to bend the case a particular way to get the book inside. I only discovered this after a few months of owning the tape!

I think that was the last great era of Saturday morning cartoons. Towards the late 90s, early 2000s, all the other networks were losing ground. By that time CBS was all about news programming. NBC was all about sports. ABC was barely hanging in there. Fox was still good, but Kids WB was gaining ground.

There was still some great programming. For me, I was all about the Batman/Superman cartoon:
"I am a man of peace."

"A man of peace...who fights like ten tigers."

    Or Jackie Chan Adventures:

Of course, had to sit through the Pokemon stuff to get to it.

    Fox box/ fox kids/ 4kids tv
    One saturday morning

Were the last end of the road for saturday mornings. Then the "must have this many hours of education" law is made and nbc cashing in on saved by the bells sucess by killing all cartoons and replacing them with live teen shows and bell copies killing saturday mornings.
