Because it would completely destroy any emotional resonance and development from the point of his reveal on if he's anything other than who he's initially revealed to be. And it would be even more cheap in this case considering its literally taken a few years to reveal who this guy is. After all this time you reveal his identity, then you're going to later say that even THAT was wrong? Its completely idiotic storytelling.

In before the uninformed "I don't trust BC" posts. If BC is still going Roz-Em, they're probably right. They usually are.

Its nothing about just automatically not believing BC posts. They are often right. But context matters. When they postulate something based on some kind of internal rumblings or something, they say so. That's when they're likely accurate. They're Jor-El scoop for instance came after hearing rumblings from SDCC this year. When they're just winging a theory, they won't make any claim as to having any sort of inside info to justify the claim. It'll be presented simply as a fan theory. This is the latter.
