Len Wein, one of the great comic legends has died.

What were your favourite comics of his?

Mine? It will always be his swap thing run. I feel it does not get the praise it deserves.

RIP Len Wein. He helped bring the X-Men back from reprint limbo, and helped create some of its most popular members (like Storm, Colossus, Nightcrawler, and especially Wolverine).

Sad news. He was really significant to modern comics (dude created Wolverine and the international X-Men!)

Looking at a best of list, there's much of his work I haven't checked out.

I did really like the three-parter introducing Mongul (DC Comics Presents #27-29.) He was also great on the Nerdist Writers Panel Comics Edition podcast.

Of his more recent work, his reboot of the Metal Men for the "Legends of Tomorrow" anthology book was fantastic.

Sad news indeed. Giant-Size X-Men #1 is unquestionably one of the most influential Marvel comics ever published, laying the groundwork for decades of amazing stories. RIP.

How sad about Mr. Wein. As others here already mentioned, his creation of the all-new X-Men helped put Marvel's Merry Mutants back in the spotlight. My sympathies to his family.

Len was one of my favorite Bronze Age Batman writers. Wrote so many favorites of mine with other characters too.
