Back when Glynis Wein, Roy Thomas, Gerry Conway and Steve Englehart were all working at Marvel and Len Wein was at DC, they created an crossover of sorts that takes place at the Halloween parade in Rutland Vermont. Part 1 is told in Amazing Adventures #16 followed by Justice League of America #103 and then finishes up in Thor 207.

These pages are from Thor #207 showing the group at the parade

I hope this counts because Len Wein appears in this comic but it's written by Roy Thomas, drawn by John Buscema with colors by Len's wife Glynis (they would later divorce)

That definitely counts, IM. I totally forgot about this. BTW, I thought Glynis Wein's work was good, too (I also thought she was a cutie :-)).

Thanks. I changed my mind and liked the Giordano cover for the Justice League a wee bit better. But the interior pages are still from Thor #207. I had to include the parade shot with a Doom cosplayer And Halloween is coming up! I wonder if this was one of the first Marvel/DC crossovers. Things were pretty friendly between the two companies back then.

The Rutland Parade was also in Batman #237 and Defenders #10.

And a big welcome back IM!

Thanks! I think the parade might have been in an issue of the Avengers too, maybe a few years before this issue of JLA that I'm using.

It's still an event. I should go one of these years.

Looks like it has really grown. Here's a good article about the history of the parade and it's link to the comic book world. The parade first appeared in Avengers #83

Monkey Astronaut because it's my favorite limited series from the Bronze Age.

Thanks for all of your contributions, ladies and gentlemen! You did the memory of Len Wein proud
