I really like your use of Gleek as the Batman of the team.

Yes the infinitely stretchable, twistable, prehensile tail really is the natural counterpart to the utility belt. Plus they both have the pointy ears and absolute unpredictability.

Finally finished the main team:



I decided to go for a more diverse team, with more women and minorities. I also wanted a mix of iconic and lesser known heroes to keep things interesting, so instead of Aquaman, I added Mera and also made Power Ring a core team member.
Lex Luthor and Captain Cold aren't there because I think the current status quo is meant to be temporary. This team is designed to last long term. I also removed Flash because even though I love the character, he isn't being used very well and I'd rather have space for new members.
That said, Aquaman and Flash would be reserves, they'd help whenever needed. Element Woman would also return and I'd like to see a new female Atom, possibly Earth Prime's version of Rhonda.

The core team:

Superman is the guy everyone looks up to, even if he's bot necessarily the leader.
Batman is the strategist and detective of the team.
Wonder Woman is not just the "warrior" type but is also the team's spokesperson, she knows how to connect with people.
Cyborg is the teleporter and tech expert.
Mera is the team's connection to Atlantis. She also adds a different powerset to the team.
Shazam is the team's magic connection.
Power Ring is the rookie and also cosmic connection.

After the dissolution of the JLA, Amanda Waller and Steve Trevor lose much of their influence at A.R.G.U.S. The problem is that they don't trust the new people in charge, so they ally themselves with the mysterious Vera Black to create a new, black-ops Justice League to handle the threats they couldn't trust A.R.G.U.S. with.

Killer Frost: the wildcard, she's the team's undercover agent who's spyimg on the Secret Society.
Black Lightning: the rookie who's trying to do the right thing. He's the voice of reason.
Sister Superior (Vera Black): the sister of a powerful villain, her intentions aren't very clear.
