That's not what Blizzard said at all. They said that taking time out of their schedule to deal with people acting like assclowns all the time takes away time that could be better spent elsewhere. How this guy twisted it into some anti-SJW nonsense is beyond me.
Even so, there's nothing, "SJW" about wanting your place of business to run smoothly. If you go to a movie theater or restaurant and start acting like a loud, obnoxious douchebag, you're going to be removed. Nobody's going to let a handful of annoying people chase off potential business.
Blizzard's simply saying that they're wasting entirely too much time and manpower dealing with hackers, throwers and reports that could be spent on developing actual content. They can't let that behavior go unchallenged because that affects the community and, ultimately, their money.
That PlayOverwatch video is hilarious stupid, it feels like a parody video. The video also doesn't really say anything in general. The "bad" and "toxic" things are left as vague and nebulous as possible while at the same time telling people they need to be finks and report this undefined behavior. Them creating a situation in which they're telling their player base to police the player base so they can get more stuff is also a really weird bizarre gross thing to do.
I feel like people just blame Blizzard for a lot nowadays. And Jeff Kaplan has kind of accepted that people are gonna talk trash a lot so they’re just gonna do what they do lol
