X-Men Gold to Acquire New Members?

I doubt it. The title is said to include mutants from across the MU. X-Men Gold just so happens to have most of the biggest mutants on the roster.

If anything, I expect X-Men Gold to lose members as there is probably going to be an Uncanny X-Men relaunch, and it'd be weird for Storm to not be there, and maybe Nightcrawler. I'd personally like to see Magik and Justice take their places on the team.

It's surprising that Justice has never been on an X team. Firestar, his ex-girlfriend and former New Warriors and Avengers teammate, was in the adjectiveless X-Men before Secret Wars. Since he probably won't be in the next New Warriors series (which will probably be based on the TV roster), it's high time he joined the X-Men. Gold wouldn't be the right place for him as long as Rachel is on the team though - they cover the same niche. There's a reason Justice used to be called Marvel Boy - his powers are basically the same as those of MARVEL GIRL i.e. Jean and Rachel.

I think it'll happen. Once that Weapon H finally gets defeated, Weapon X will be done. Blue I can see ending next Spring, as the O5 finally get home (they did tease Prof X saying "to me my X-Men", in the coming soon page at the back of #1). Gold would then be replaced by two new X books, one of which would have the Uncanny prefix.

I'm not a fan of the series. And I'm not fond of the concept of Illyana joining a team of Inhuman misfits either. Gold isn't much better given its just Kitty & Co., but at least her position there would make sense, given that Kitty & Piotr are there.

I know. I really love Justice. Firestar is cool too, but she's had a lot more exposure than Vance, so I think it's time for him to get some attention. There have been plenty of times when two characters fill the same niche but are on the same roster. Besides, Rachel is more telepathically inclined while Vance is all aboout TK. That'd also be a great couple IMO.

Mimic is another cool character who would work well. I don't want Rogue to join and be overshadowed, but Mimic is the next best thing. He's a classic character, and seeing him take on attributes of other mutants is always fun. It's a good way of including other powersets on the team too. Especially since he'd have access to the entire faculty and studentbase of the Xavier Institute.
