Shouldn't read into this too much though, as artists design new costumes just for the sake of it all the time.

You think so? I know Alex Ross has done a few 'alternate future' books with wild designs... but his prefrences have always been to draw the heroes in as iconic costume as possible

Agreed... well, actually I prefer the classic blue with the white gloves/collar... but I'm quite content with the black too.

Really dislike that chest symbol. Not clear enough. Just at first glance it could be a '4', a '1', or a '7' and if various artists got involved... Yikes!!
