This feels too close to Waid's Kooky Quartet rewrite for me.

Agreed. Those six issues (the .1s and #8) should have been about something else, this has been in the works for over a year so Waid knew about Voyager when he created Avenger X.
I'm getting the Sentry 2.0 vibe from this and I don't like it. I really hope this Vector lady is projecting some kind of love me aura in the room for all them to be falling over her like that.
Wish writers would just leave continuity alone :/

I like Avenger X better (but not a lot)
I still think this is only temporary, for the duration of the storyline. No way they would take something so iconic away from Jan...
Very interesting theory! I think you might be on to something!
EDIT: Although, I just checked the preview for the second issue, and Pietro and Wanda both remember her from the Kooky Quartet time (kooky quintet now...?) But still, no founding Avenger is there, Jarvis is in critical condition, and Rick Jones is dead... that can't be just a coincidence.

Currently looking for a pull list... Does near-mint West Coast Avengers count?

Feels like a reverse Sentry.
Sentry is "he was actually there but no one remembers."
Voyager is "she was actually not there but everyone remembers her."
Remind me of that Rick and Morty episode with memory implanting space parasite.
Something to note. Hercules remembered Voyager, so she was still there when he joined in Avengers #45. And she was gone by the time Falcon joined in #184.
who is voyager? is she human? why has she disappeared for all this time? Why was she "erased" from Avengers history up until now? what has brought her out of hiding? Is she a character who is meant to stay? Is she going to be set up as a villain?
This is just offensive. Maybe Marvel should just quit making comics.
It's also.kinda different from Blue Marvel and Avenger X. Blue Marvel is a case where he's there PLUS everyone remembers him. Avenger X wasn't really a "retcon" per say, but a product of an 'untold story'. With Valerie Vector, there's some surrounding mystery for why she's a "founding member" of the team and everyone feels so friendly around her.
Hope she stays.
