Constantine: "Gimme that... now piss off."
Constantine: "Gimme that... now piss off."
This thread needs resurrecting. I really liked the exercise. We got a lot so far. I liked Frontier's Batman voice. Stern but not unkind. Soubhagya is pretty much what I'd imagine from Supes too;
I already did mine so I'll do a few new ones
Barry:
"Excuse me. You look old enough to know the difference between right and wrong. What does stealing falls under?"
"Umm..it's wrong."
"That's right. So go ahead and do the right thing, and return that. Hopefully you won't need me to remind you next time. Right?"
"..Right."
Wonder Woman:
"Young man/lady, what's that in your pocket? It may not seem like a big deal to you right now, but choices like these matter more than you think. Don't steal from a store, just like I'm sure you wouldn't want anyone stealing from you. Understand?"
Hal:
"Not so fast kid. I got bigger things to worry about than a stolen candy bar, but that doesn't mean its okay. Go on in and pay for that."
I have run out of ideas. There are a lot of good responses here. I can't think of anything else. Let me try something different.
After stopping the kid:
Joker: Looks like we are having fun aren't we? Here take these candies as a gift from Uncle J. Remember to share them with all your friends and have lots of fun! Ta Ta!

Ray Palmer pops out of the candy bar and grows to normal size and tells the kid, “Why would you want to steal candy when you could be studying the theory of relativity?”
Hawkman: Kid, I'd advise putting that back and moving along.
Hawkgirl: Surprised you went easy on him.
Hawkman: We're only young once in our lives. You and I know that better then anyone.
How did I miss this one? I love it.
Martian Manhunter:
"Do not be afraid, child. I would gladly share that candy bar with you. But we must first give what is owed."
Or he disguises himself as a cop and gets into the role-playing.
"Hey! Come here pipsqueak. You know kids can go to jail for stealin'. You wanna go to jail?? Then put it back!" (smirk)
Superman would make sure the kid wasn't hungry, let him keep it, and help him get home safely.

My Superman would try to understand the situation the kid's in and not just take him without breaking him.
Kid gets out the market store, he is in a hurry, desperate, pushing everyone in his way, a bag with many items in his right hand, food in particular. Suddenly a blue and red blur appears in front of him, the blur takes shape of a man, he has a worried expression.
Superman: Hey, you're that hungry huh? How about we go back to the store, it's not too late to change this. You can make it right and I know the manager, he can help you.
Kid: How? I just stole from the guy, you can't just fly around expecting the best out of people.
Superman: I guess I just can't help it.
Kid: That manager will want my ass in jail.
The Man of Steel smiles, not a mocking expression, just one that brings you comfort.
Superman: I promise you everything will be alright, trust me.
Later...
Lois: I just got back from Jim's store, you know, the one two blocks from here. Seems he got help, kid just couldn't stop talking about Superman. What did you do this time, Smallville?
Clark: Just trying to help, Lois.
Batman: (stares at the kid silently, giving him "the look" until he goes back in and returns the candy bar)
When the kid comes back out of the store:
Batman: Hey, kid - want to be Robin??
Bumping this thread because I loved it. More! How about Shazam?
1980s Booster: [after tripping the kid and holding him down on the pavement with his boot] There's no need to fear Citizens, now that Metropolis's Real Hero is on the job
The Creeper: HAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA! [terrifying the kid into returning the candy]
Batman: Put. It. Back.
(Juvenile Puts back stolen item, exits store where Batman is waiting.)
Batman: Good. Don't do it again, (Juvenile's real name). I know where you live.
(Juvenile quickly walks away. While walking, he quickly turns his head back, only to find that Batman has already vanished.)
