At least we got Suicide Squad out of that. And Thunderbolts from Civil War. *sigh*

Suicide Squad came out of Legends, and Thunderbolts from Onslaught.

I always thought Onslaught should have been a crossover about killer bees.

The Warren Ellis Thunderbolts that span out of Civil War were something else entirely though. More Suicide Squad than Thunderbolts.

...and that's a problem (at least for me). I far preferred Busiek's TBolts than anything that came after. Perhaps it was best suited to a limited series. But...I digress.

C'mon now. The execution of it was dark, the actual execution was very dark but the 1-900 phone number option provided to the fans and it's perfectly conceivable outcome was prolly darkest of all and not surprising. At least the phone call was relatively cheap, my younger brother got a yes from Mom to lob a vote to save Robin back then. Things weren't the same after that.

Identity Crisis affected the whole of Marvel.

    Aquababy.

Black Manta slowly and successfully suffocated Aquaman's 4-year-old son.

    At least he did pre-New52.

Please tell me Rebirth or New52 retconned the **** out of this horrible storyline.

I don't know all that much about Harley Quinn. But I do find it strange that there's a big marketing push and she has quite a few dolls for younger girls. Hasn't she murdered people?

Yikes! And I thought Mark Waid's Unthinkable story in Fantastic Four was pretty dark. This sounds worse.

For teens I'd say its Ok to have a HQ doll... younger girls... that would be kinda tasteless

I know she's in the DC Dolls and DC Girls line and I've seen some of them in the Toys R US aisle near the stuff like Strawberry Shortcake.

Hey, kids! How about getting an Abusive Relationship Doll for you? Hmmm... or maybe a Femme Fatale toy? Part of me even thinks that's funny. Harley (or Deadpool) toys shouldn't be aimed at kids. Do I sound like my mom, now? Back then she wouldn't allow those evil Masters of the Universe around the house...

For sheer scope, COIE is the darkest. The DC heroes failed to save untold billions of lives. Entire universes wiped out of existence.
