Good or Bad: Talking One on One

A habit of mine is discussing important private decisions one on one. Maybe I've got it wrong. What if the other person isn't really well-informed or does care too much or just not enough? Yet the one on one discussion seems to remain a classic even when sitting down with 2 or more friends/colleagues/family members should be considered more helpful.

What's your take on that?

Depends on the subject matter, if some one is going to hurt them-self or others or is considered socially unexceptionable a one on one or group intervention may be necessary. It trivial or opinion based who are you to correct them? "Bob we really you can't say that stuff in public its offensive, it doesn't matter what music you listen to" is different than "Bob we really need to talk about how you pronounce library- Its not not lie-berry"

According to the Oxford English Dictionary, "lie-bri" is one valid pronunciation.
