Honestly that just raises a whole other issue in and of itself. According to High Evolutionary, Wanda and Pietro were never mutants to begin with. But if that's the case, then how was Pietro depowered by Wanda's 'No more mutants' spell? (Really goes to show that Marvel doesn't even think about the retroactive problems that some of their retcons cause).

I love the Inhumans books but what they did with Terrigen killing and sterilizing mutants was really poorly thought.

Here is a good one. Why has there not been some public outcry about the govt continuing to build Sentinels? Those crazy robots have gone out of control so may times or have been taken over by villains that you would think the public would be more scared of them then they are of mutants. People are nervous about robots naturally let alone 20 foot tall killer robots with a history of malfunctioning. From the Mark 1/Master Mold to Nimrod all of the Sentinels go rogue sooner or latter. About the only ones that are really safe are the Mark VIII which had a human piloting them.

IIRC that was actually a plot point in the Summers Rebellion. The govt decided to put GIANT about 80ft Sentinels practically everywhere! Then force the entire population to be screened to determine if people were latent mutants.

Seriously, that thing Ruby blasted is the size of a building!

Yeah, the irrational fear angle gets overplayed so much. there are so many reasons that make more sense....
