I'm guessing he will have his limits, he's definitely not written or portrayed as a cartoon villain. Which is a good thing.

As originally written, Thunderbird was pretty shallow, but then (IMO), so was Wolverine almost up until Byrne entered the creative team. I sometimes wonder what Mr. Proudstar might have been with a creative champion, and with time to develop.
Thunderbird was only around for a couple of issues before they killed him. All of the new X-Men were shallow at that point; not enough time for them to develop.

Some good developments for the show to expand on in the future.

But really...visible Trask Industries stamps on the arms of your undercover "assets?"

I wonder if the progenitor struckers were twisted by nature, or as a consequence of their powers? The kid is already a hothead, but the sister seems more level and not prone to ripping things/people in two.

Though who knows, perhaps using powers with hands held will unlock some bestial need for power and carnage.

Hard to say, since they're not likely to be connected to the Nazi Von Strucker's as we've known them, who were so grossly misused in the MCU. If their story lives up to the rest of the show so far, the answer will not be simplistic.
