X-Men Evolution Storm vs X-Men Evolution Team

Team: Cyclops, Jean, Kitty, Nightcrawler, Iceman, Spyke and Berzerker

Storm gets mind controlled into believing she needs to take down the X-Men during a lesson, can she do it?

- No tp for Jean
- Storm starts in the air
- Both sides will kill if they have to

Round 2:
- Storm gets feats from being enhanced by Apocalypse
- Jean can read her thoughts

I say the team takes it pretty easily. Evo version wasn't that powerful, but that's irrelevant because Storm is still glass cannon, and there is too much long ranged attacks on the other side. Cyclops can blast her, Jean can control her with TK, Spyke can stab her, etc. Even if she manages to strike first, and all of them at once, Kitty can save herself and at least few others.

Round 2 doesn't go much different either. She wasn't really enhanced by that much.

Yeah, I don't remember Storm being particularly powerful in Evolution.

Nightcrawler could just teleport one of the ranged attackers closer to get a point blank first shot and then all the others hit her with everything they've got until she goes down.

Also remember she knows what they're capable of so she's not attacking blindly, for instance she could create fog so they can't directly see her knowing she could get overwhelmed by the firepower the team has.

This fight is a quickdraw, as none of these characters are durable. None of the gifs that you posted above display impressive speed feats, so it looks like it's 50/50 at best for Storm to get in a shot before the other team. Actually, some of those gifs show her powers taking a bit of time to achieve their effects, while Cyclops just needs to look at her and blast.

Most versions of Storm don't do well in Rumbles in general, because she doesn't have superhuman speed and she can't take a hit.

They have no idea that she's being controlled, and depending on what she decides to do they could assume it's part of the lesson which she has done in the show. I know her attack speed prohibits her from posing a threat in most scenarios so that's why I made sure that wouldn't keep her from standing a chance.

Good point. In the first scenario, Storm should be able to whip up a nice big storm under the guise of "a lesson" and first strike everybody else with lightning for the win.

In the second scenario, it could happen the same way, or Jean might be able to warn everybody immediately. Did Evolution Jean ever comment on her personal policy about mindreading her friends? She probably doesn't do that at all without a specific reason.

True her first attack is a big advantage but if the team does get their bearings Jean has briefly held an explosion so she could shield everyone so Nightcrawler could get them to safety to make a plan.

Hmm I don't think she did except for when her powers where getting stronger, but Jean could use it to determine what Storm will attack with if she gets the chance making it easier to defend.
