Default Forgotten Plot Threads You'd Like to See Return

These could be as simple as a character or a MacGuffin that seems to be forgotten, or as complicated as the theme and plot of a whole forgotten series. A quick list of ones that have come to mind for me lately:

    1) Dr. Carolina Washington and her method (used in the HAMMER storyline where an escaped Norman Osborn united HAMMER, Hydra, and AIM under one banner) to take genetic samples from superhumans as diverse as the Hulk, Spider-Man, and Giant-Man to give similar powers to any number of agents, such as the Hulked-Out Hydra Agents, or even mix and match, as with the Spider-Hulks. This needn't be as a member of an 'evil' organization such as those... she could easily have cut a deal with SHIELD, the US government or military, or some other legitimate government to share her techniques, or even have served any sentence imposed for her time with HAMMER and now be going into business selling superpowers to whoever can pay.

    2) The power disruptor device initially developed as Stark Tech and then rebuilt by Jonas Harrow, which can be used in the field (as opposed to in some superprison) to shut off power sets as diverse as those of Ares and Clint Barton (perhaps from residual Pym Particles from his time as Goliath?) while causing a lot of pain and shock to those affected, but be tuned or blocked in some way so that others in the area of effect such as the Wrecking Crew remain unaffected. This could be a great equalizer and force multiplier for some organization such as SHIELD or the NYPD, or even for individuals such as Deadpool or the Punisher, and once developed and used one would expect a lot of attempts to duplicate or recreate it.

    3) Diverse groups such as the Live Wires and the True Believers, and seeing what they have been up to while invisible for the past umpteen events.

Curious as to what everyone else's picks would be in this regard.

Is anyone going to follow-up on what happened to Diamondback after Spencer had her betray Sam? Or Constrictor being dead?

Viper made off with the formula for giving random people super powers after the Avengers took down H.A.M.M.E.R. it seemed like a triumph for Hydra. but nothing came of it. Viper was slumming it in Madripoor or something.

That's right... if not Dr. Washington herself, you'd think that Viper would be making bank in Madripoor by offering it as a superhuman enhancement surgery destination, or selling the procedure and/or technology in bulk to whatever governments and other entities could afford it, from AIM to North Korea to mob bosses. Either that, or keeping it for herself and her faction of Hydra, and building a Madripoorean superhuman army, I mean fighting force, of extraordinary magnitude... would make for an excellent Shang-Chi story, don't you think? ;-)

A character called Iconoclast was sent back in time to kill Invisible Woman as she destroys his people in the future. I really want it brought back and explored as an arc for the Fantastic Four or a possible solo. What did she do and why? It seemed like he had no real malice towards her and was doing it because he had too which makes it all the more interesting to me. He was only in one issue of the FF and the story was never explored further which is unfortunate.
Be sure to check out the Invisible Woman appreciation thread!

Right now, with the new Runaways series coming, I'm CRAVING for a cosmic arc exploring what happened to Xavin after the third volume of the series.

The 2014 New Warriors had different plot threads which are sadly forgotten after the comic was cancelled.

    - Mictlan Rising = Aracely's prophecies of the Mictlan Apocalypse had been teased in both Yost's Scarlet Spider solo series and in 2014 New Warriors. Unfortunately, it has been on hiatus thanks to the cancellation and the interruption of Spider-Verse.
    - The mystery of Water Snake = no one knows whether Water Snake is really Namorita's clone or not.

    A few more:

I'm still waiting for the return of Alexander Aaron aka Phobos, especially now that we have Ares back already.

Also interested in seeing more of Trauma, Nightmare's kid, and having him team up with Phobos.

Also wouldn't mind seeing what's happening with Gauntlet, Southpaw, and the MVP clone version of Iron Spider.

Until Chris Yost comes back to Marvel (or Peter David chooses to follow up on Yost's plans for Kaine beyond having him as a foil and antagonist for Ben Reilly), the Mictlan Apocalypse will still be on hold, I think. As for Water Snake, it was elaborated in a note on her profile in newwarriors.com, linked below, that Yost intended her to be a clone of Namorita all along, one of 12 meant to serve as potential vessels for Namorita's rebirth after her death in the beginning of Civil War, being imbued with Namorita's memories and personality and essentially destroying their own identities to bring her back. I think that could have been a very good arc for a future New Warriors series, having Justice and Speedball torn between wanting their old friend and teammate back and knowing they'd essentially be sacrificing another person's life to attain that wish, Kaine taking up for Water Snake's right to be her own person and not just a "vessel" for someone else in light of his own struggles with defining himself as more than just "Spider-Man's evil clone," and the others coming to their own opinions and conclusions on the matter.

Loki still owes Spider-Man a favor of the "name it and it shall be done" variety.

Wasn't Namorita already revived in DnA's Nova run though?

Granted, even Rich seems to have forgotten about her once he came back .

Doc Washington went with Monica Rappaccini (seen during that initial terrigenesis outbreak).

Definitely. I'd have the calling in of that favor be tied into reversing or undoing One More Day, though, as a deal of that magnitude of atrocity ought to have had bigger consequences for the Marvel Universe at large than just undoing one hero's marriage.

That could be another nexus for superpowers-to-order, to be sure, but you yourself pointed out that Viper had also taken a copy of the tech with her.
