I always liked the 1972 logo, followed by 2002.

I like all of them but 72,88,93, and 11 are my favorites. I'll go with 72 though.

I'm too late to the party to defend the 1940 logo, but that's the only logo that matters in my book. Even though I personally love the 1965 and 1972 logos. And yeah, there were several variations on these logos, including the 1940 design, but it would be impossible to account for them all.
It's always confounded me why Batman's logo was allowed to change, while Superman's remained relatively the same (with a few tweaks over the years). The Superman seems to have become rooted in the culture in a way that the Batman logo never did.

I decided to revive these original polls to see if/how the results differed from the finals. I'm not sure if I should've done multiple rounds or not. Maybe some polling geeks could jump in and tell me what they think.
Anyway, here I see the final winner remains 2002 (my favorite as well). But it's REALLY close. It only beat 1996 & 2011 by a single vote, and 1972 by 2.
