As clumsy as they were, I'm trying to figure out how the Gypsy overcomes shots from 3 Imperial Walkers.

yeah I don't remember any kind of weaponry Gypsy had that could compete at range with the Walkers, the plasma cannon seemed to have a relatively short range

Regarding the Walkers, Gypsy is durable enough to tank a nuke going off in it's face without too much issue and is like four times as tall as the Walkers, 80 metres to 20 metres.

I'm not seeing why it can't just run up to them and kick them over.

Oh hell. Forgot about the nuke at the ocean floor...

    Yep. Gypsy should win.

Gypsum did not tank a nuke going off. Just the blast wave /after shock of the nuke suicide run. As Gyapy then blew itself up to kill alien hive thing. Given it never shown to endure energy hits. Durability is in question here.

Looks like this is just going to end up being Gypsy Danger versus Darth Vader in the end.

    No it isn't.

Gypsy is absurdly durable. The nuke went off in its face and blasted Gypsy with enough force to temporarily remove miles of ocean from around it which then rolled back on top of it. Given that Gypsy was already kind of messed up from fighting the kaiju that are down there, it's amazing that it was fine.

Star Wars blasters from anything less than an Star Destroyer aren't really going to make a dent in it.

    Just for clarity's sake:

See towards the end of the video. A damaged Gypsy just hunkers down and eats the explosion to its face with little to no additional damage and then gets swamped by a thousands of tons of water and again is fine. Their durability is absurd.

Does the star destroyer, from whence came the walkers, count as an attacker in this instance? I mean, it's pretty close. Also if Vader is there, could he affect Gypsy's pilots?

Unless the walkers manage to take out the rebels' shield generator, the Star Destroyers won't be able to affect the battle. They can't get through the shields and they're vulnerable from the Ion cannon if they're too close.

As for canon Vader? Well, you got me there.

Can you modify Gypsy with a lasso from the Rebels equipment store? That works pretty well. I

Maybe they cant get through the shields but they could still pound on gypsy, and deploy tie fighters to help.

The shields must have covered the battlefield or else there was no need to send in the walkers, and I believe they were holding their space-based forces in orbit to prevent the Rebels from escaping. As always, if I'm wrong don't hesitate to point it out.

Exactly, the shield covered everything around the base, even the trenches. It would have made all orbital strikes pointless unless a ground team destroys the generator. All the Star Destroyers can do is take out the rebel transports and their escorts, already a tall order as they are protected by a ion cannon while sending out small numbers to flee to hyperspace. Despite how screwed the defenses are and what they're leaving behind, the Rebels had a pretty decent plan to get most of their forces out.
