Donnie may have superior practical combat skills.

But Jackie Chan is one of the few real life examples of freakish damage soak ability that I know of.

And Jackie has a height and weight advantage.

Donnie might win a majority of fights between the two but only barely.

Lord knows, Jackie can function with any number of broken bones...

Yeah, but if you... man, we're getting into weird analogy territory, like if you disintegrated Superman's arms he wouldn't be able to go "fool! Little did you know that my arms and I are one and can be remade from me!" and will his arms back into being from pure nothingness. - Pendaran

    ...in general.

Back when Cradle 2 Da Grave (what a terrible title) was in press mode, Li himself outright admits it, when he was trying to point out to the interviewer the differences between real fighting and stage/movie fighting.

To expand further, the scene in question was where he takes out a dozen underground MMA fighters by himself. But in the interview, he said that because of his size and lack of grappling techniques, any single one of them alone would beat him in a real fight.

In a scenario against the likes of Donnie Yen and Jackie Chan, that limitation is going to be costly for Li.

I'd argue that the movies were better written than the books.

I'm not being cute or joking around either, I'm serious. I don't think Tolkein was that good of a writer.

I mean the movies were a rushed, cobbled together abomination, sure.

I don't recall saying the movies were any good, did I?

Hobbit movies were alright though. Despite the massive changes, three movies for a single book was right. Pretty much covered the majority of the Hobbit just fine, but kept it interesting.

    no. not sharp's wife!

and for the record: i'm sort of indifferent on the hobbit movies. on one hand, they aren't as good as the LOTR movies. on the other, considering all the behind-the-scenes stuff that went on, it's a wonder we got the movie we got.

Someone got rid of the non book stuff in the Hobbit movies and edited all 3 into one movie and it was okay.

Also, Cass Cain vs. Killer Croc, who would win?

well Shiva casually wrecked Croc back in the day, so Classic Cassie should blitz just fine really.
