From the man himself...
THE WILD STORM will take a two month break after issue 18 to get me and Jon Davis-Hunt some space to breathe for the last run from 19 to 24.
The Wildstorm #16 comes out this Wed, preview looks good. Jenny and Angie finally meet and slowly but surely the Authority is coming together. The story continues to move forward and the art is outstanding as usual. Cannot praise this book enough.
Pretty solid "Where We Are/Where We May Be Headed" article...

A couple of quick thoughts about today's issue #16...
- Gloria managed to be the most terrifying Project Thunderbook subject while also being the sweetest. How Stephen Rainmaker might be more formidable than Gloria is rather interesting to consider.
- Gloria's insight on Marc Slayton was certainly something I did not expect.
- While Gloria mentioning a group of "Friends" to Lynch had me thinking that their could be a fourth group in play, it occurred to me that Cole might have known her from the Project.
- Angela is about to become quite a bit more dangerous.
One last thing that I thought about for a moment while reading today's issue...
Andrew/Philip's son Hector...
That is an interesting piece of the bigger picture.

In the latest issue of the "Michael Cray" series...
Very big developments on the final page.
spoilers:end of spoilers
On the final page, we finally get a good look at exactly what is inside of Michael. Almost certainly Kheran. Looks exactly like what Slayton sees when he looks into a mirror.
The question that raises, "How?"
"Never assign to malice what is adequately explained by stupidity or ignorance."
"Great stories will always return to their original forms"
"Nobody is more dangerous than he who imagines himself pure in heart; for his purity, by definition, is unassailable." James Baldwin
I want Grifter back.
That was how it read to me.
During the conversation with Adriana, Marlowe says that an alarm set to detect alien DNA going off was how he realized what was about to happen. As you said, that points to that Michael already had whatever is inside of him there prior to contact with Marlowe.
The interesting part will be what you mentioned in blue. No telling if Craven is just lying about what he knew(or if he kept something like Project Thunderbook going). That could explain how he just calmly handled Michael coming to him, only to try to have him killed later.
I like the new take on Grifter and Hawksmoor. I wouldn't mind if they get a miniseries after issue 24.
It would've been to see evil versions of Clark/Bruce in Micheal Cray.
Apollo & Midnighter? I always has suspected than they are the proper analogs from this universe. Michael Cray has been like an evil version of Planetary.

A quick note on the "Call Back"/"Annotations" front...
It hit me that Jenny(in an old issue of Stormwatch) suggested that Jack's cover could be "Unwashed Homeless Guy Who Yells About Aliens".
While double checking that, it hit me that Stormwatch Black was made up of Jenny/Shen/Jack.
