I have zero familiarity with the original Wild Storm run, but I just got into the current Wild Storm and Mike Cray books, and they are hands down the coolest thing DC has coming out currently. Feels like when Marvel had Jonathan Hickman.

Hickman actually drinks a lot from Ellis.

If you can, check out Ellis StormWatch - Authority - Planteray (in that order). You need no previous knowledge of anything, and they're really, really good.

    Follow this advice. Twice.

While doing a bit of rereading, I noticed something I had not really picked up on the first time around.

When Craven goes into the details of Project Thunderbook and what happened when Lynch quit, Craven points out that three of the program's buildings mysteriously burned down.

    Burned down...

Thunder Book: Top Secret Majestic... Praying to the comic Gods that this has something to do with Majestic returning, lol.

How that whole "Majestic" angle plays out will be interesting to see.

Right now, my take is that it is roughly "Maximum". Seems like the secret I.O. base that Marlowe's C.A.T. sort of rescued Angela from was "Majestic" class(or something along that line).

I was expecting Majestic,at least hinted. I wonder if he is going to appear or all his presence will be only the name of the file.
Funny thing is meanwhile IO is breaching Skywatch, IO is being breaching by the WildCATs.

Well, that was certainly an interesting wrap up to a first year. Cole's "Professional" punchline may have been the highlight of the series so far. The symbolism in the interlude that closed the book was a winner.

I think by the end of the 24 issue run, IO and Skywatch will be exposed. Or at least the existence of aliens and superbeings, giving way to a new Authority book exploring the reflexes of metahumans on society.
Wildstorm could continue as the conspiracy book or be replaced by WildCats as a black-ops counterpart to the much more high-profile Authority.

But I still expecting issue 13. I want to see if Ellis bring back Lynch and the kids in that number.
From the looks of the solicit for issue #14, somebody was onto something.

    This should be interesting.

Yep,and apparentely, they will be mashed up with their progenitors. Same as Swift/Doctor.

Unless it is another straight up gender swap like Jackie King.
