I must admit that was amusing.

Coleen reunites with Peter and Iron Fist and it looks like we've got just one week left of this current arc...Peter's not feeling so elated though, as he looks on at the complete destruction of the Mammon Theatre. MJ is out of work

ROFL, Coleen correctly guesses Peter is bummed out about someone being affected by the Mammon theatre's destruction, but Danny assumes that Spidey simply knows a stage hand who works there, not the star attraction who he's married to!

Peter talks to MJ over the phone, he's about to tell her about the Mammon's destruction but MJ's already found out by watching the news. She tells him she's just glad the publicity tour is over with so she can come home.

I'd say the phone call Peter had with MJ yesterday was the end of the current arc, the new one more or less kicks off today and Sunday with the return of Jameson from Florida, and he's up to his old tricks again.

So we go straight from Iron Fist to...Luke Cage!

This strip surely is timely with what Netflix shows to promote[/sarcasm]

By that, you mean Jameson hiring Cage to go after Spidey? (a similar story in the 70s happening just after Gwen died)

With Stan's passing, I wonder who will be credited with the strip now? Roy Thomas is said to be it's ghost-scribe, so perhaps he'll finally get the credit.

Or maybe they'll just end the strip, who knows.

    Uncertain times.

I can't help but feel they could have ended the strip with Peter and MJ's phone call on Friday...no kidding, it was almost as if Stan was talking to Joan and how he was looking forward to seeing her again.

Peter's a bit of a Prince fan it seems, singing the lyrics to "1999" (36 years too late for that Spidey) , maybe he should have been singing "Party Man" instead (hey, the strip's already had a Batman reference)

Luke Cage saves a passer-by from being hit by a speeding car

Plot twist: It's Killgrave, the Purple Man!

Hmm, so it appears Killgrave's not quite as powerful in the strip as he is in other major continuities he appears in, as Luke is able to resist his control long enough to save a civilian being controlled by him from being run over by a bus
