Every girl would love to have a diamond on her finger, so you can imagine how thrilled they would be to have it for skin! (not you Angelo Espinosa). With an exterior that hard it's easy to say her best offense is her defense...but then there are those claws as well, aaaaand her hair....'sigh. Slicing and dicing her way from Generation-X, it's Penance!

Oh my gosh! That is so cute! And you can tell it was made by a fan -- or at least, someone familiar with the team. ;D If it wasn't so expensive, I'd probably buy it, lol. Thanks for sharing!

I would rather she appears in comics than not appears in comics, lol, possessed or not... Although if she became possessed, they would have to fix that eventually. I couldn't stand to see her as a villain for long. D:

Returning to the St. Croix family is a sentence of Limbo -- or haven't you heard we're all but ignoring that Monet has family? ;D

I think Gateway just rescued her as his penance, but it is kind of random if there ISN'T some connection between Gateway and Emplate or Gateway and Penance. Of course, he'd already taken on the St. Croix twins as pupils, so I guess that's the connection, his connection to the St. Croix family.

As opposed to all the story time she is getting now? It would be stupid to ignore the fact that she was used by Emplate for so long, and possessed by M forever. Like it or not I feel like there is rich potential for stories there.

I wanted PAD to cover it in X-Factor with Monet... it was only briefly touched upon once or twice. I much prefer the X-Men Legacy: Emplate storyline. At least that mentioned Penance and talked about what she'd gone through.

I just added Penance to a Ranker list of the Best Superheroes of All Time because I saw Jubilee was on that list, heh. Kind of random, but it'd be cool if others showed up to vote her up. Somebody should feel free to make a Generation X list on that site... the only one that's there is for the movie (boo!).

Let Martha Johannson take control of her body and kick out whoever is taking over it now. I don't think Martha should retain all her powers but she at least has something other than a floating brain to work with. Maybe too Psylocke swapish though?
