    Thoughts:

    - So are we getting two-part arcs with each Justice League member? Does King just want to make his stamp on them and their relationship with Batman? Is it just going to be the Trinity? Does Bruce marrying Selina really warrant this much soul-searching and personal conflict with the two heroes he's most closest too?

    - I still find Duke's premise of being the member of the Bat-Family who operates during the day, and that there's all that much of a difference to Gotham in the day, to be kind of silly.

    - I hope Batgirl and Penguin's adventure does not lead to them playing paddle ball again .

    - The Birds vs. Weather Wizard? Now that's a match-up. Also interesting to see the book getting into the Spyral stuff .

    - I'm guessing the "strongest rogue" is Clayface. I'm also guessing the annual will be "Feat of Clay" for 2017.

    - We get the long-awaited appearance by Talia in Super Sons .

    - Man-Bat in Harley Quinn? Poor Langstrom.

Batwoman going up against Pyg is unexpected, but it's a smart blend of horror and spy elements, as is traditional with her (and like the current arc). Cool. I hope Perkins is just a fill-in writer, though. The last time she wrote Kate wasn't good.

Based on the looks of 'Tec #973, it seems like Scarecrow is going to majorly damage Kate in some way. Exciting stuff!

I'm so excited for Annuals this month! Not just for the Batfamily, of course - Tec is finally getting its annual again (which means I will have TWO Detective Comics Annual #1s! And not one of the n52's silliness!) And a Deathstroke Annual - which almost makes it like a double ship for one month.

Lot of middles or conclusions in the New Year. Nothing that I'm newly excited for, but still staying strong on my Tec and Birds of Prey pulls.

the friendship between Batman and Wonder Woman has stood at the heart of the DC Universe
    Since when?

Anyway, I guess the Bat books are still not worth picking up and is Superman book seriously still Jon-focused? What is the point of SS then?
