I’d have to say 2003, for me. It was a cool logo and, in addition to that, that run was my first real introduction to the Titans, so, it holds a special place in my heart.

What is the significance, if any, of that symbol on the 2003 logo?

Considering everything thats happened to this group since it being introduced, I would say:

    'Flaming failure.'

    I voted 1980.

The 2003 one has potential, but the flatness of it makes it look like a sticker. It would make a great prototype for a logo, however. It just needs something to pull it out to the reader.

The 1980 one is just classic. I could do without the starburst around 'New', though. I'd just make that word a tad bit larger than the 'The' and 'Teen' to stress the emphasis.
And even cutting the perspective lines in half to give the cover more space for art wouldn't hurt. It would still keep its 'umph'.
