I know Feldstein will be remembered (and rightly so) for his tenure on "Mad" but I will think back fondly on his Sci Fi and Fantasy work with EC. My first real encounter with Feldstein and EC was with "Weird Fantasy". My older brother had a book compiling a half dozen issues and I read and reread it oh so many times. He had a great sense of humor, was a great judge of talent and, boy, could he put together a 2-3 page story!

    RIP

Feldstein was one of the greatest creators in American comics. Losing him is a sad, sad thing but his work, especially for EC is going to live forever.

It is kind of weird that his work on Mad (as much as he did) is the only thing getting mentioned on some sites (Bleeding Cool is doing the same) while he did a lot of great work for EC's horror and sci if comics. Seriously when I hear Al Feldstein's name I think of those comics (I have a few EC collections that have some of his work in them). Still very sad.

Such a shame. His work will live on at least.
