So you hated that they Treated Superman like a real person instead of a Cartoon? Snyder had a narrative Arc for Superman as shown in the deleted scenes (Funny how they always delete Snyder's scenes. Seems kinda like they're trying to paint a particular picture of his work) but the problem is people want things NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW. That Instant Gratification before they move on to the next forgettable thing. Potato chips for the Brain. And No Warner's ruined it by Cutting down the movie and having it make no sense. And he did save a Kid in BvS. and look at the result. He doesn't want to be worshiped like a God but that's the only way this superstitious ass world can process someone like him. That's what his Dad was trying to protect him from until he was ready to face it head on.

Man of Steel is going to be re-released with this new box art
BvS too, but no images for that yet.
More respectful to whom? To Superman? He's fictional, I promise you he doesn't mind what anyone does with him. To the fans? Many fans, myself a fan since '86, happen to think very highly of Snyder's version.
To your specific favored version? This is probably closer to what you meant. And I mean no disrespect, I just have found that every time someone says "this isn't how it should be done", what they really mean is "this isn't how I want it." Same applies to things like "they should listen to the fans" (aka, "they should listen to me"), and "this thing is disrespectful" (aka, "I don't like it").

Every post I make, it should be assumed by the reader that the following statement is attached: "It's all subjective. What works for me doesn't necessarily work for you, and vice versa, and that's ok. You may have a different opinion on it, but this is mine. That's the wonderful thing about being a comics fan, it's all subjective."
When it comes to comics, one person's "fan-service" is another persons personal cannon. So by definition it's ALL fan service. Aren't we ALL fans?
SUPERMAN is the greatest fictional character ever created.
