Second Coming too, was pretty good in terms of keeping the stakes high.

Messiah Complex was really good, and as a few other folks have said, was the last good crossover event the X-Men had.

The best X-Men crossover of the 2000s. That and the story leading up to it, Mike Carey's "Blinded by the Light" were fantastic. A high quality year for the X-books.
