Fake Thunderbolts is done, eh? Hopefully Songbird, MACH VII, and the other classic members return in the next year or so. Disheartening to notice that Mighty Avengers is missing from the solicits. That title had such a great lineup. I hope Spectrum, Power Man, and White Tiger don't fall into limbo if this ends up going away. More importantly, I hope Ewing gets another title if this one ends. He's too good not to utilize.

Heavy on the shipping and the merging of the events this month. You got AXIS, Edge of Spider-Verse, and Hickman's story crashing together. A lot of books are going to suffer due to this along with some reader's wallets! No Mighty Avengers title though - stealth cancellation?

Man, I was just praising MARVEL for letting their books have distinctive voices and teams, and now I look at these solicitations and almost everything is a tie in.

that's the most depressing aspect. Everything is centering around their handful of core characters. Independently-themed titles are marginalized, both in marketing, attention and sales. Notable exception being Captain Marvel, which sells terribly despite being marketed like a premium title. The market just doesn't care about Carol Danvers, regardless of new incarnation or editorial push.

Lady Thor? Didn't JMS just give us Lady Loki? We've run out of ideas.

Star Wars: The Original Marvel Years Omnibus!

Like they said on starwars.com: "The circle is now complete."

This is perfect. Star Wars comics are back home. And I'm guessing they'll split the remaining 60+ issues over two omnibus volumes.

Thor's a woman, we need a new Watcher, the Terrigen Mists have gone global thanks to Black Bolt, there's a team of robot Avengers running around run by a founding genius member, Captain America's off the Avengers and his age is showing, the Red Skull is building a mind-controlled army, Killraven and Hyperion are around despite being from other worlds, there's a multiversal team running around the main universe including Iron Man 2020 and a Deathlok...this just takes us one step closer, really.

The Star Wars Omnibus confirmed my worst fears i had when Marvel got the rights to the property. Dark Horse had the great Omnibus line for this book that was really affordable (especially if you got them on amazon) the one that has a lot of the content found in the marvel omnibus is 19 bucks right now. I understand that people really go for these omnibus collection marvel puts out, i respect that but for me if there has been one strong driving force behind the lowering of my comic book purchases it has been the price points for many comics. I don't know how popular the Dark Horse collections are or have been but for my money they are among the best collections on the market. Like DC now defunct Chronicles line they gave me the best value for what I was looking for.
