Tim Sale won't just be a variant cover guy, he's also gonna do interior artwork for two Batman projects, one with Tom King and another with Kyle Higgins.
That's pretty big news for a big name Batman & DC & Marvel artist. Sale has stayed out of the spotlight in recent years (well, since 2015 with Captain America: White). It seems he's done sitting on the sidelines.
I myself am particularly intrigued by the King project. Will King try to channel some Jeph Loeb?

I hope that it is better than his variants for the main Batman series because those were awful.
It's the Dynamic Duo! Batman and Robin!... and Red Robin and Red Hood and Nightwing and Batwoman and Batgirl and Orphan and Spoiler and Bluebird and Lark and Gotham Girl and Talon and Batwing and Huntress and Azreal and Flamebird and Batcow?
Since when could just anybody do what we trained to do? It makes it all dumb instead of special. Like it doesn't matter anymore.

I liked many of them, myself. If maybe he phoned some in thinking they're only variants, which we'll never know & shouldn't assume, maybe he won't for this interior work.

...... King in another project related with batman?
Fortunatelly, is only in one of these 2 projects..
HOWEVER, I am tired of batman things..

King is on the Batman title. I think it possible this King/Sale project is just an arc on Batman. So we shouldn't assume this is some special added King project. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. Sale was kinda trying to be secretive (and failed somewhat). Originally Posted by adrikito

His covers for the main Batman title were of different quality. There were some that I liked and others that I couldn’t believe were accepted. Anyways, I liked his interiors in Captain America White, so I have hopes that he will deliver some nice art
