Default Batman writers yet to come.

Name on or two writers that have NOT done a long run on Batman or related title that you would like to see on a Bat - title.

For me, I would really like to see a Mark Waid run on Batman. Mark is really good and getting a character back to basics and then moving the character forward.

Wasn't Christopher Priest up for Batman before they gave it to Morrison? That would be interesting.

I liked Joshua Williamson's writing of Batman in The Button so I'd be down for seeing him do a more extended run with the character .

Someone who is not a fanboy but has a desire to write for the character.

A writer whose goal isn't to put Batman in what they deem are amazing fights but actually are willing to develop this character who seems to be in a stasis of no character development.

A writer who is not trying to one up previous writers by being the best Batman writer there is.

A writer who is not gonna pander to fans and give them what they want but actually give a great story.

First DC has to want all of that for Batman, and when they finally decide they do they can look to Priest ...and maybe his Batman could be an elseworld one so he can do whatever he wants uninterrupted.
My priority is black female characters; everything else is secondary.

James Patrick - who wrote the great one-shot Batman Confidential #49

    Joshua Williamson

    Mark Waid

Matt Wagner - I'm not sure he's had what could be called a "long run" on Batman, but I want more and more of Matt Wagner doing Batman

Sam Hamm - wrote like 4 Batman comics, one was the official comic adaptation of Batman '89, the other three?: Batman Blind Justice...one of the greatest Batman arcs, which gave us Ducard and etc

Things I love: Batman, Superman, AEW, old films, Lovecraft

Grant Morrison: “Adults...struggle desperately with fiction, demanding constantly that it conform to the rules of everyday life. Adults foolishly demand to know how Superman can possibly fly, or how Batman can possibly run a multibillion-dollar business empire during the day and fight crime at night, when the answer is obvious even to the smallest child: because it's not real.”

Matt Wagner always does a good Batman, I'd like to see a main title run for him.

Gail Simone, I think she's done a lot of Batfamily, but never the main title.

Alan Moore (yes I know it will never ever happen)
Frank Miller (the non-crazy Frank Miller. I don't consider his time with Batman a "long" run)
Bendis (yes, I know he gets hate, but damn if his Daredevil wasn't awesome. If he can write Batman like that . . .)
    Charles Soule (overall solid writer)
Matt Wagner (he's written around 25 stories, so I don't consider that too, too long)
Mark Millar (when he's on, he's on)
