Default Who knows Spider-Man's secret identity?

So (for fairly obvious reasons) I decided to look through and see if I could compile a full list of everyone who knows Peter Parker's secret identity so far. Amazing Spider-Man (vol. 3) #1 distinctly shows who exactly knows at that point in time, so those are:

    Mary Jane Watson
    Mr. Fantastic
    Invisible Woman
    Human Torch
    The Thing
    Hawkeye
    Mockingbird
    Iron Fist
    Spider-Woman
    Captain Marvel
    Wolverine
    Jessica Jones
    Luke Cage
    The Winter Soldier
    Doctor Strange
    Kaine
    Julia Carpenter
    Jackal
    Captain America
    Carlie Cooper
    Miles Morales
    Anna Maria Marconi
    Spider-Man 2099

And since then, these are the others who are revealed to know or find out.

    Doctor Octopus
    Anya/ Spider-Girl
    Silk
Spider-Gwen (and the rest of the Web-Warriors)
    Hobie/Prowler
    Ben Reilly
    spoilers:
    Teresa Parker
    and now J. Jonah Jameson
    end of spoilers

If there's any I'm missing, let me know.

When did Hobbie Brown learn Peter's identity? I do not think he knows it.

It's so weird for me that Osborn and May still don't know.

Really awkward once they do know, because all the memories will come flooding back. Aunt May will know that she did know at one time and went through all this already, and so on. She'll really be mad at Peter this time!

Osborn will have known and not known a few times as well, I think.

Reading some of the recent issues she is in some fans have come to speculate that May knows but waiting for Peter to just tell her or isn't 100% certain.
The same way Earth-65 Aunt May seem to allude to Gwen that she knows her secret from her time shown but doesn't say it outright.

616 and 65 (and possibly other future versions) Aunt May might become the one character in this series who knows and is patiently waiting just to be told and if that's the case she is the 'Secret Secret-Keeper' character.

He does. Peter had him impersonate Spider-Man so that Peter and Spidey could be seen together, remember.

This was everyone who knew as of Amazing Spider-Man #1 (2014):

    Since then you can add:
    • Prowler
    • Silk
    • Spider-Gwen
    • Ben Reilly (obviously)
    • Otto Octavius
    • Theresa Parker
    • J. Jonah Jameson

I'm also fully expecting Norman Osborn and Tony Stark to eventually find out as well. Interestingly enough, nobody on the current Avengers team knows his identity.

Hobbie learned sometime during the Secret Wars timeskip. Peter ended up hiring him to be his Spider-Man body double so it wouldn't look suspicious when he appeared abroad as well.

There's no good reason for them not to know.

Norman is so boring and watered-down as a threat nowadays.

And Aunt May was also more interesting when she knew.

She revealed that she knew who Peter was and then died in the Clone Saga. Later, it would be revealed that that Aunt May was actually an impostor and the real one was held by Osborn, without knowledge of Peter’s secret (comics!). In JMS she finds Peter all bleed out with his Spider costume. Later, they have a conversation and come to peace with who Spider-Man is and what he does, and also come to peace with Ben’s death. I don’t know if that was the event you were referring to or I misunderstood you

well, for me, my last encounter with aunt may was asm 400. i know the actress angle is the canon, but i have a hard time reconciling that n my head, so i just head canon that as her real ending point.

i didn't know that they played out the same thing, in a different circumstance, during a later run.

    Very interesting topic.
And that illustration of Amazing Spider-Man:1 (2014) is cool. Thanks for posting that.
When did Winter Soldier and Captain Marvel discovered Spider-Man identity?
