With adults, you have a smaller market, and unfortunately a good number of them will be pirating the shows if they have any interest. I think if DC really wants to make money, it would be better to farm it off to Netflix. Hulu or Amazon Prime would work as well, but Netflix would be the most successful option IMO.
All of these companies trying to compete with Netflix will just have to learn the hard way. There's going to be way too many competing streaming services and many of them will fail. I mean what's the point of cutting your cable bill if you have to subscribe to five different streamers to get what you want. Disney's doing the same thing as DC in trying to compete with Netflix, Hulu and Prime.

It is not different than any company starting their own streaming service.
That doesn't necessarily have to happen. WB could have shows on cn and then move them to the dc streaming service after it's done it's run on cn. I mean If we look at their current strategy for tv is it seems like their trying to cast the largest net they can to get as much money as they can from their licencing fee. The live action shows bring in 1 billion dollars so they might not be willing to part with all that money no matter how successful the streaming service is.

Not to mention Dc might not have the power to pull all these shows, depending on their contract. We could have a Fox Marvel thing where WB can't do anything about pulling the shows they've licensed off until their cancelled.

Yeah, Im not too pleased about that.

Between Netflix, Hulu, and Prime, I have access to pretty much everything on television outside of NFL games.....and there's other options for that. What little I can't access I just get on blu-ray or iTunes. And I pay a tiny fraction of what cable users pay. Plus I get original content networks don't get at all.

Now these guys want to nickle and dime me to death by making me buy services for each network? Ha, no.

I'll get the DC service so my kids and I can watch Young Justice. But that's it.
