Default What beings and creatures would be cool to see on Paradise Island

One thing ever now and then we don't see too many other beings on Person Island. I mean wouldn't it be cool to see the amazons allying themselves with?

Nymphs should definitely be common on Paradise Island. They're nature spirits and the island is a natural paradise. Nymphs should be EVERYWHERE on the island. In fact, I think they should be one option for increasing the Amazon's power in the world. If anyone invades Paradise Island? The nymphs can turn the entire ecosystem against them. If the Amazons leave the island and go to war? Some nymphs might accompany them and use their nature powers to serve as force multipliers for the Amazons. They may not be very powerful on their own, but if they work together and combine their strength, they can be deadly foes indeed.

Pegasi are usually portrayed as sentient in fiction, so they definitely count.

Centaurs would be nice, although they're usually male, so it depends on how strictly we think the Amazons should adhere to the "no men on the island" rule. Maybe the centaurs live on a separate island near PI, close enough that they can come to the Amazon's aid when asked. Satyrs would also be cool for this. They're nature spirits too, and they have the power to induce overwhelming fear in people. They could be another allied force that can allow the Amazons to be much more powerful than one might expect.
Though much is taken, much abides; and though
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are,
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

Kangaroos, pegasi (plural for pegasus?) and maybe some mer-people (remember Mer-Boy? lol).

I don't think they should be that strict. What about Harpies? Or maybe Echidna

I’d really like Centaurs, Cyclops, and Harpies... but it comes down to the level and limits that we assign to the “no-males” curse of the island.

I disagree with the mystical creatures gender. It should really only be human men. Hey Phoenixs would be cool. How about giants or what was the cover of that three headed mystica creature? It terms of the amazons themselves, some should want any male species gone.It should be some not all who want all the male species of any kind gone.

I'm down with some Greek monsters behind Doom's Doorway (a concept I love for the Amazons) and other cryptozoology species (pegusi, unicorns, griffins, etc.) roaming around on the island.

I prefer no human-level sentient creatures though (centaurs, satyrs, etc) as I think it's a drawback to the Amazons. (Just my personal preference.) I'd prefer such species to be included in other ways (and have an idea I've been cooking up to do so.)

Maybe they are nearby the amazons islands?

I've always wondered why the Amazons have horses but no cows, pigs, chickens or goats? If I was a goddess populating a paradise for my worshipers I'd give them a variety of animals along with kangas and mythological beasts like griffins. I'm personally partial to griffins.

We have seen many runs over the past 75 years. Deers, birds, and phoenixes. In legends we do see that they have sheeps and other animals

When i think of cool mythical creatures i can't help but mention Dragons. Can they work in Paradise Island? Imagine Amazons riding Dragons as an army. Its a cool visual. But does it make sense?

In Western mythology? Not really. Dragons are portrayed as being quite malicious, if not down right evil. In Eastern mythology? Often considered benevolent as well as being deities in their own right. So it could work for Wonder Woman of China, but unless otherwise stated, would be counterproductive to being on Paradise Island.

Though, having a dragon that turns into a human and be an antagonist to Diana would be an interesting twist.

    I like griffins too.

I think that, when it comes to animals, the Amazons have generally been represented more as hunters and fishers than livestock owners. I imagine they do grow crops, though.
