Generally, people have always seen them as less important than the boys. Which is what happens when they just aren't shown to be important to anything.

Not to mention it can be inconsistent or up-and-down how close they are to Batman and how much of an independent operator they are.

I will be genuinely shocked if Tim even pops up in Doomsday Clock. And even if he does, we certainly won't be getting explanations for things such as: Why did Jor-El take MULTIPLE Tim's, how was Tim figuring him out, what exactly was Tim doing that was reconnecting ties, and if Jor-El knew how much of a bloody super genius Tim was, why would he leave him with his tech?
