Just get an HBO, Hulu and Netflix account and rewatch the hundreds of badass rated R movies before SJW’s ruined everything.

Remember when every rated R movie just had a random sex scene? Good times. lol

    boobs, boobs everywhere

and that changed because studio suits saw that grosses on R rated films (unless there was a big star involved) were down across the board, so the migration away from R ratings and "adult thrillers" like Basic Instinct probably started in the early 2000s

don't blame SJWs, blame Baby Boomer and Gen X studio suits

The culture changed first then the movies. You have to remember all the uptight soccer moms, SJWs and the complainers all existed even before social media. They would write mail, start groups, petitions, get on the news etc.

Twitter, Facebook and all that just made it worse.

it was largely parents groups at that time, the PTC being the biggest..."concerned parents" and all that

and movie tastes changed, people could get boobs on HBO, Cinemax, or straight to DVD trash, so why bother going to the theater

they faded in the same way porn theaters faded when VHS became prevalent

prior to Deadpool, the last R rated film I saw in a theater was "Wild Things" and that came out in 98 or 99, I think?

My guess is Disney wants to see how Deadpool 2 does and then they’ll make a decision. If DP2 makes bank, Disney will leave it alone, but if it doesn’t, they will tinker with it.
i think it's the opposite. If it makes a lot of money they would want to make more money and they will make it pg13. if it does decent money they will leave it alone.

I will say this, i think the way the right leaning "moral guardians" and left wing "SJW" started to bleed together kinda ironic....and annoying.

Not to mention Riddick, but i do think Logan, and Deapool saved R-rated genre movies.

Deadpool is the highest grossing X-Men movie and it did it with an R rating. Disney best chance of success is not change a thing.

I think this is cool that Marvel is getting its properties back. I am not sure its cool as far as everything else is concerned.

Has anyone here even *seen* an SJW sex scene, especially lately? They tend to be incredibly hot and passionate, but primarily because there's tends to be more connection, either character or story. The generic and unemotional sex scenes in 90s b-movie action films are there just because the actress can undress, but they do that weird thing where the guy often tries to kiss by forcing teeth through her lips. Plus it helps that they're better actors in general. (I remember the sex scene between Sylvester Stallone and Sharon Stone in The Specialist. Terrible, robotic, pretty gross, unappealing. Whereas Stone in Basic Instinct, where she was totally in control the entire time? Woo baby.).

SJWs have sex and practice sex positivity. Moral parent groups do not. So one side tends to make more R movies than the other. They're just on a smaller scale like Netflix or Amazon Prime or premium channels rather than big screen spectacles. But they're also not so much on wide distribution either because studios don't think there's an audience for that, when streaming or premium channels have a ton of it and the subscription numbers to prove their popularity. (hell, even Luke Cage with either Jessica Jones or Claire were pretty good for TV, though we'll wait and see if Disney keeps that going).

The idea of one less studio doesnt sound good to most people. But Marvel getting they first family of Marvel back. The book the brought marvel back to life and made stan lee who he is. And then the Xmen, i grew up in the 90s andBatman,Supes,Hulk, and spidey were cool but the Xmen was by far the most popular during that decade. Jist love they have it all back
