Bendis would do fine on a Superman book if he can remain character driven and focus more on Superman's interpersonal relationships more than melodramatic sci-fi fist fighting.

Bleeding Cool is speculating maybe he'll be on Zatanna. Apparently, he has voiced interest in her in the past.
my condolences.
get ready for a bunch of scenes with people eating Chinese food.
Pffft, i bicth about his Ultimate Spider-Man everytime that somebody ask me for itThe main key with utilizing Bendis correctly, I think, is not making him an "architect" of the DCU but instead allow him to work his magic on more self-contained series. People like to bitch about his Avengers or X-Men but let's not forget, this is the dude that wrote Ultimate Spider-man, which is about as good a teen superhero comic as you could possibly hope to find AND one of the most importat and quintessential comic book works of the first decade of the 21st century.
He's almost certainly going to be on Wonder Woman, isn't he?

Give him a Gotham central book. He definitely excels when it comes to the street level stuff. Either that or a Renee question book.
Bagging a 5x Eisner and multi award winning creator right at the time when he can write his own checks from the competition?
Nice one, DC. Well done.
Everyone wondering what he will touch and if he stays a while much like Marvel no matter what books you read he will eventually make it over to it and put his own spin on it.
Yeah not really a bendis fan. I enjoyed his daredevil but that’s about it. Please keep him away from all of my favorite dc heroes.
Well... this certainly has Marvel riled up...

Seriously... They do not seem happy
Marvel's statement on the news about Bendis:

I've already said elsewhere but anyone else seeing this as rather Passive Agressive?
I'm torn. I would read his Batman but I don't wish to curse another character with Tom King. I will simply hope he stays away from Action Superman and Super Sons.
Though much is taken, much abides; and though
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are,
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

I am the person quoted in the article. It was during the Marvel panel (which I believe was called Cup O' Joe) at 2004 Wonder-Con. I raised my hand, they called on me and I then asked Bendis which DC character he would most like to write. His answer and I quote: "Zatanna! I'd love to get my mitts on her."
Last week on Twitter, Scott Snyder said "snalp era ereht" for Zatanna. Now Bendis announces he's going to DC.
Maybe Bendis has changed his mind after 13 years. Maybe DC lured him with Batman or Superman. But nonetheless, if he isn't writing Zatanna in 2018, I suspect he probably still loves her after 13 years and eventually will write her.
