Default Make a Batman video game

Trilogy or not, just make a game/game series. I’ll have a doc, it’ll be linked below

I don't know about an all new game, but I remember wishful thinking this faux Arkham City Zorro skin pack for the Monarch Theater level, putting it out there, and hoping it would somehow make it happen.

Then the game came out, and the actual Monarch scene played out with Batman using a sword.
They actually could have made this a skin for when he was in the theater, somehow flashing back to playing his childhood hero.

Using most stock combat, plus scripted Catwoman elements whip, bolas, etc..., plus the Sword could totally have been re-purposed to a full Zorro skin:

    Batman to Zorro combat/gadget analogues:

-Standard Combat (blocks & attacks) = Swashbuckling moves
    - Main weapons = combine Sword and main-gauche Dagger combat
    -"Cape Stun" = Same
-“Batclaw” = Extending Bullwhip (see Catwoman) [also used in combat mode]
-“Batarang” = Daggers (single throw no return)
    - Bolos (see Catwoman) = throw-knockout & return [also used in combat]
-"Predator mode" = Natural Fox-like cunning & stealth, (hey he did it first)
-“Explosive gel” = Glycerin & length-timed burning fuses, with gunpowder.
    - Exploding Batarangs = Black-powder filled wraparound Bolos.
    - Smoke-Bombs = Leather wrapped glass pellets.
    - Grapnel Gun“Line Launcher” = Whip, and for distance a small spring-loaded, exploding flintlock Crossbow & line (that’s right he has one)
-“Ziplining” = Uses Sword handle to zip along line.
-"Detective Vision" = Fox vision Amulet and vision herbs.(given to him by White Owl, (Native American Grandmother) Amulet gives supernatural vision qualities allows him to read threats and people's anima.
Extra - Dual pistolas: Yes Zorro always carried black powder pistols (expert marksman can non-lethal shoot to disarm) (drawback: one bullet each, slow reload)

    - Batmobile = of course Tornado ("remote control" = comes when he whistles)
    - Saddle and tackle (loaded with extra swords, machete, lasso, bow and arrow, crossbow, and flintlock rifle)

    - Landscape = El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Ángeles
    - Military Quartel and Presidio
    - Mission and Church Reina de los Ángeles
    - De La Vega Hacienda
    - Lair of the Fox
To bad this would make a killer game. Zorro prod. Inc. doesn't have the vision to produce something on par with the Arkham games.

I do have three ideas for a new game for the Arkham series:

Arkham Legend: Some time after Arkham Knight the Bat vigilante finds themselves on the run from the law and a new commissioner meanwhile uncovers a conspiracy/secret society to get Gordon out of office, one way or the other, and faces threats both new and old.

Arkham Dimension: Batman finds himself fighting all of villains even the ones that are dead in which he uncovers a powerful creature that is treating Batman's life like it was a video game called Batmite.

Arkham Origins 2:With the opening of Arkham Asylum Batman meets the al-Ghul family a group who have a special interest in the Asylum meanwhile theres a gang war on the streets of Gotham and several villains have taken over Panessa Studios and holding it hostage until Batman arrives for final cut.

I've long had the idea for this as a Batman comic story, but it could easily be a game.

Batman becomes aware of some Multiverse-hopping threat. To deal with it, he has to travel the Multiverse - which he does by possessing the bodies of his counterparts on other earths. The game is basically you, as Batman, having to adapt to various alternate Gotham City's and solve mysteries and fight foes there in order to ultimately take down the Big Bad.

Some of the alternate Gotham City's I'd like the game to explore-

-Gotham By Gaslight. A 19th century steampunk-inspired Gotham based on the graphic novel/animated movie.

-DKR Gotham, straight out of Frank Miller's works, complete with the Sons of Batman and Carrie Kelly.

-60's Gotham. Basically the world of the Adam West TV show.

-1939 Gotham, based on the earliest Kane/Finger 'Bat-Man' stories.

Batman's literal first night on the town.

Over the course of the game we develop Bruce Wayne as a vigilante into The Batman culminating with the first night Batman is on the town. Bruce does not start with the Batsuit but instead basic clothes, to gear, and later his own suit. We are able to see the transition visually into Batman. The mentality is there, we just get to watch Bruce turn into him. And thus we view Batman's origin from beginning to end with the death of his parents and the catching of their killer. Bruce returns to Gotham strictly for this reason but because the police force is now corrupted he can't properly use their assistance and takes matters into his own hands. Thus over the course of the game we confront random crimes, meet future Bat-rogues, and some active rogues, simply for a chance at fulfilling Bruce's quest for vengeance. That way as we the player develop into Batman, in story he begins taking on more heroic elements turning into the superhero we know. So of course as a child and young man he wants to kill the murderer out of some sense of revenge but his emotional journey is becoming the good man his parents wanted him to be even if it means a never ending quest to rid the world of crime. Once he does confront the murderer he of course can't kill him and we see Batman make the choice to never kill. Because killing the murderer wont bring his parents back, it wont magically fix Gotham, and it wont make Bruce feel any better about his now ruined childhood to adolescence.

So their is your basic story framework.

    As far as gameplay;
Crafting elements can come from stealing elements from criminals like weapons to turn into new gadgets or stealing and recreating body armor for Bruce's usage. And because he doesn't start with body armor or the Batsuit itself he's extra vulnerable giving players incentive to develop Bruce's arsenal. He doesn't even have the Bat-cave yet so over the course of the game we watch it fill out with things Bruce makes or with story items to reference. Bruce is also able to examine things he takes which can help solve mysteries in the main game and side missions. Or he can plan around certain things. If a goon wears a lot of body armor he can develop tools or gain new moves to exploit weaknesses. In the case of armor he could go from prolonged fights to auto-targeting weak points. For mysteries he could solve crimes developing the Bat-computer so he can site things like weapon manufacturers and where these weapons are being used and by whom.

The combat would largely function like the Arkham games.

However as Bruce Wayne considering so few have seen him return to Gotham, he is a relative unknown. Thus as Bruce Wayne you can make efforts to clean up Gotham which affect the gameworld. Districts cleaned up or lowering the crime rating would give Batman new vantage points and even access to new gadgets and tactics from newly introduced GCPD. However since the GCPD have only just met Batman, they would try to arrest him on site and even open fire if given a long enough period. Also the GCPD would heavily patrol cleaned districts and can bleed into crime controlled areas. Meaning that players could balance crime and justice as they move through regions as neither extreme is great for a proto-Batman.

This would extend to gear and the Batmobile/plane. Moving more like a civilian draws less attention from authorities and may even protect you in criminal engagements although with a chance of arrest. However GCPD and criminals might start noticing the Batmobile and plane creating roadblocks and launch Helicopters and blimps to hinder your approach. If you make efforts to clean up the city, Bruce Wayne would even be noticed quicker by thugs but be protected by most GCPD. If the player lets crime fester there will be more criminals with GCPD spread more thin. But Batman would be scarier to thugs as an urban legend as opposed to some guy in body armor.

With that, the time of day is also noteworthy for when the players are active. Being more active in the day makes it easier to get around criminals but with less active crime there will be less leads for mysteries and more GCPD on the street. At night with less GCPD there is more criminals out and about. This would scale with the district's rating and constantly in flux. You are a one man war on crime, your not going to get crime to take a holiday.
